At its regular meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Maple Lake City Council was able to shave some dollars off the final 2025 payable tax levy with the hopes of providing a little relief to city taxpayers. Councilors went into the meeting with a proposed levy on the table that called for a 13.41% tax increase. After a lengthy discussion, they were able to knock that number down to 12.5%.
