On January 1st, The Buffalo area Masonic lodge, Nelson Lodge No 135 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, began its 14th Annual Food Shelf Funding Drive program for the year. There’s still time. This year’s drive will end on February 28. The Masons, partnering with another Masonic appendant body, The Order of the Eastern Star, Galilee Chapter No 53, and are focusing their efforts on the Buffalo and Maple Lake/Annandale area food shelves.
Since 2012, the Masons were able to raise over $319,000 dollars for the Annandale/Maple Lake area food shelf and $412,000 for the Buffalo area food shelf.
