Gregory James Caron was born on June 21, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Eugene and Dorothy (Provo) Caron. He grew up in St. Louis Park and attended Holy Family Elementary School. Greg was a 1975 graduate of St. Louis Park High School. Greg attended the University of Minnesota prior to beginning his career in the construction industry. On December 28, 1988, Greg married Sandra Howland in St. Paul. They made their home in St. Michael, where they raised their three boys.
Greg found joy in the great outdoors, embracing every opportunity to go hunting and fishing. He was an avid softball player and spectator who cherished watching his boys play from his perch at the fence. His warm spirit was matched only by his love for animals, especially Labrador Retrievers and even his beloved pet skunk, Rosebud. Above all, Greg cherished his role as a father and grandfather. His grandkids were the light of his life, and he delighted in sharing special moments with them-whether it was teaching them the intricacies of the outdoors or simply enjoying the joyous chaos of family gatherings.
Greg is survived by his wife, Sandy of St. Michael; sons, Cody (Kinzie Brion) of Monticello, Travis (Lexi) of Litchfield, and Tanner (Laura) of St. Michael; grandkids, Hoclan, Wrenlee, Russell, Viktor, Vince, Grace, and another grandchild on the way; siblings, Joe Caron and Julie Caron; nieces and nephews, Drew, Rachel, Tyler, Josh, and Willow; sister-in-law, Colleen Caron (Doug Howard); and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; nephew, Kane; sister-in-law, Catie; and cousin, Mark Provo.
Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
