The Maple Lake girls’ basketball team faced two of the top teams in the Central Minnesota Conference last week.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4th, The Irish met the undefeated (18-0) Royalton who currently sits at the top of the conference rankings.
On Thursday, Feb. 6, the Irish hosted Holdingford who sits among the conference leaders with a 7-3 record.
Royalton 60, Maple Lake 26
Tuesday was Maple Lake’s second time facing Royalton, at that time they also gave up a lopsided win.
“The Royals have size and power in the post along with the guards who handle the ball well and shoot the three with confidence,” Irish coach Adam Ronnenberg said.
