Lyndon Gene Johnson was born on September 4, 1957, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Earl and Doris (Peterson) Johnson. Following his 1976 graduation at Annandale High School, Lyndon attended St. Cloud Tech for appliance repair. On September 10, 1988, Lyndon was united in marriage to Nancy Schermer at Silver Creek Reformed Church. They made their home in rural Annandale, along with their three children. Lyndon possessed a profound passion for farming, having spent many years nurturing the land he was raised on, in addition to balancing various occupations. He worked as an electrician for Johnson Electric, before his 33-year tenure with the U.S. Postal Service in Monticello.
A sportsman at heart, he found joy in fishing, hunting, boating, and cheering for his favorite football teams, sharing that excitement with his family. Lyndon loved music, especially classic rock; he introduced his children to the sounds of Pink Floyd early on, ensuring that the appreciation for great music lived on. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, bringing laughter and warmth to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Annandale; children, Nicholas of Annandale, Katelyn of Annandale, and Jacob (Bryn Larson) of Maple Lake; siblings, Sandra Hobbs of Golden Valley, Curtis (Barbara) of Sartell, and Dean (Barbara) of Arcadia, CA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Keith and Sally Schermer; sisters-in-law, Cheri Toftey of Minneapolis and Debbie (Doug) Boeke of Finlayson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James “JJ”.
Family will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
