Heather and Hannah Zieska of Annandale are the winners of this year’s button contest for the 2025 Maple Lake St. Patrick’s Day, 48th annual parade on Saturday, March 15. Their artwork featuring a jaunty leprechaun in a cowboy hat and boots will be displayed on jacket lapels and purses in the weeks leading up to the 48th annual parade.
Hannah and Heather’s artwork was the only submission to the contest this year. The winners will receive $25 in business bucks.
Look for buttons on sale at these participating businesses and during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 15: Maple Lake City Hall, Subway of Maple Lake, Maple Lake Lumber, Spooky Brew Coffee Co., Maple Lake Cenex, Maple Lake Wine & Spirits, The Butchery and the Maple Lake Messenger. Money raised from button sales go toward financing paid parade entries. Anyone who buys a button to support the parade is automatically registered to win a $100 prize in business bucks.
This year’s parade begins at 1:30 pm on Division Street East by the park going west and turning south on Maple Avenue and turning east by the Legion and ending on 1st Street West.
Also taking place that day is the Spring Craft Fair at Maple Lake Elementary School, the Irish Scamper 5K and the Maple Lake Royalty Queens Coronation.
