
For nearly 100 years the Muller name has been synonymous with the movies. It’s a legacy that has taken local movie goers from the days of the silent picture to monster screens and surround sound. Today that era is coming to an end as Mike Muller, grandson of that first movie entrepreneur, turns up the lights for the last time on Muller Family Theatres.
Mike, 76, of Maple Lake, recently sold his eight theaters and 104 screens to a family-owned, Detroit firm called Highline Investments LLC. According to an article in the Star Tribune, Highline will eventually drop the Muller name, but not for a few months.
