“I think Monday’s game was a big stepping-stone for our team. We all played our best game of the season so far by being very connected and everything seemed to click,” said junior Megan Lind.

The Irish scored right from the start against Osakis when senior Kate LaTour found Bryn Elsenpeter cutting to the basket for her first points of the game. Shortly after Lind found LaTour open for a three-point basket. Elsenpeter attacked the hoop again and scored to give the Irish a 7-0 lead.

The Irish continued to find the open player and take quality shots throughout the half. Then, with three minutes left in the half, Osakis took the lead with some deep three-point shots. They went into the break with a 28-25 advantage.

To start the second half, senior Grace Heying found Elsenpeter at the wing for an open jump shot to cut the lead 28-27. A few times during the half Osakis would build a six-point lead, but it never lasted.
