By Brenda Erdahl:
The county’s commissioners, sheriff, and attorney work hard and deserve a raise was the consensus at the Wright County Board meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 14.
Commissioners approved a 5.4 percent raise for themselves, Sheriff Sean Deringer and County Attorney Brian Lutes for 2022 after considerable discussion on the matter. The action will increase the Sheriff’s salary to $170,206.40; the county attorney’s salary to $170,747.20 and the five commissioners’ salaries to $53,809.60; all are elected officials.
Much of the discussion on the salary increases took place at a Committee of the Whole meeting on November 29, before the matter was officially brought to the board for a resolution on Tuesday.
