Schools conduct truth in taxation

At their most recent meeting, Monday, Dec. 13, members of the Maple Lake School Board voted to certify the payable 2022 property tax levy at $2.872 million, for a decrease of $168,940, or 5.31 percent.

Superintendent Mike Rowe presented the School District’s Truth in Taxation hearing, guiding board members through a breakdown of the 2021-2022 budget that included anticipated revenue and budgeted expenditures for the General, Food Service, Scholarship, Post-Employment Benefits and Building Funds, as well as Debt Service.
