Getting to know your candidates

Absentee voting is underway for the 2022 election with in-person voting at Maple Lake City Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. To vote absentee go to mnvotes.gov and apply online or visit in person, the new Wright County Government Center on Braddock Ave. NE. Those voting in-person, have the option of registering at City Hall before Nov. 8.

Three people have filed for Maple Lake Mayor: John Scott Haack, Lynn Kissock and Kristen Logas. The mayoral seat opened in late July when Deb Geyen announced her resignation. Lori Hausken, Scott Chantland and incumbent Bruce Ballweber have filed for the two four-year council seats up for grabs while Robin Norris Roetzler and incumbent Wayne Paumen prepare to square off in the special election to complete the remaining two years left by councilor Brian Fondurulia who resigned last fall
