Library fundraiser is Saturday Oct. 15

The Maple Lake Library is back to full operating hours and then some, which is why they need their No. 1 fundraiser to go well this fall.

Last year the Library’s Annual Fundraiser drew 150-some people and raised enough money to support 50 percent of the library’s expenses for the year. Organizers hope this year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15 at the V by HH is just as successful.

“Our supporters were very generous last year when it came to meeting our needs. They paid for 50 percent of our expenses, and we thank them for supporting us,” Event Chairperson Vicki Decker said.

The fundraiser, which helps pay for necessities like rent and heat takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday evening. There will be a cash raffle with $600 in prize money up for grabs, a wine and craft beer draw, chance baskets, split the pot, a money tree, Restaurant Row and more.

“Restaurant Row was exciting last year because we had so many gift cards to area restaurants. It went over really well, people enjoyed it,” Decker said.
