With Easter fast approaching, there are several events happening in the area to celebrate the holiday, from Easter egg hunts, a craft fair and breakfast to visits with the one and only, Easter Bunny. Check out these selections below.
Maple Lake Lions Easter Candy Scramble
The Maple Lake Lions will hold its annual Easter Pancake Breakfast and Candy Scramble, on Palm Sunday, April 2 at Maple Lake High School. Doors open at 8 a.m. for the breakfast with the scramble beginning at 11:30 a.m. The entire event is free, but good will offerings will be accepted. Children should bring their Easter baskets or something else to put their candy in. Traditionally prizes are given away and the Easter Bunny is available for pictures.
Meet the Easter Bunny at the Farside Spring Bake and Craft Sale
The Farside 4H Club will host a Spring Bake and Craft Sale on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maple Lake Township Hall. Meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy complimentary coffee and cocoa provided by Spooky Brew Coffee while shopping a variety of items for sale including goat milk soap, alpaca socks, loose-leaf tea, pottery, crocheted hats plus a wide variety of homemade goods and treats. There will be homemade items from 4H members as well as items from outside vendors. “It is a great way to get some Easter treats and support our club,” organizers said.
