The Minnesota sports scene looked pretty dismal over the weekend with the Gophers losing to Northwestern described by some as Ugly, The Ugly & The Ugly. The Minnesota Vikings again lacked the late-game mojo of last year. Now they are 0-3 and when that happens to a team, they seldom get into the playoffs.
The Minnesota Twins brought a whole lot of joy to mudville Friday night when they clinched a division title 8-6 in their game with the Los Angeles Angels. Fans we’re exuberant as the ninth inning was played out and the Twins celebrated with their families on the diamond before going to their quarters for the usual bath of champagne. and a whole lot of well-wishing to each other in the playoffs.
