Kenneth James Urich, age 93, of Maple Lake, MN passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at The Glenn in Buffalo.
He was born in Buffalo, MN on March 4, 1930 the son of Charles J. and Julia (Chmela) Urich.
On June 20, 1953 Ken Urich was joined in holy marriage to Patricia J. Middagh at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Maple Lake. God blessed their marriage with a son.
Mr. Urich honorably served his country in the U.S. Army as an Engineer in the Korean War. He was formerly employed from 1958 – 1972 at the Maple Lake, Buffalo and Monticello Creameries. He later was employed at Wright-Hennepin Electric from 1972 – 1992. Ken liked the out of doors, gardening and fixing in his garage.
Survived by his loving wife of 70 years Patricia J. Urich; a son Brian Kenneth Urich of Maple Lake; several nieces and nephews further survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Dorothy Urich and Alice Laxen and by a brother Ray Urich.
Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth J. Urich will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 11:30 AM at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Fr. Kenneth Magner will be the Celebrant. Interment with military rites will be held at St. Timothy’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo on Wednesday, November 15 from 4-8 PM. Further visitation will be held at the church ONE hour prior to Mass.
Casket bearers will be Brian Urich, Tom Neumann, Scott Maselter, Randy Urich, Mike Nelson and Dwight Nelson.
