Maple Lake gymnasts continue to win

The Maple Lake gymnastics team continued its winning ways last week with a 131.975 to 129.55 victory over Dassel-Cokato on Tuesday, Jan. 9 followed by a first-place finish at the seven-team invitational, Tumble in the Jungle on Saturday, Jan. 13 in Maple Lake.

Vs D-C

Maple Lake’s Kelsi Jude claimed a first-place finish on the beam, Tuesday at home against D-C, and several of her teammates took home second place finishes in various events.

Beam

Jude’s 8.85 carried her to the top spot on the beam; Addison Kramer was second with an 8.65; Jacqueline Pribyl was third with an 8.25; Ashley Gaffaney scored a 7.325 and Lily O’Donnell finished with a 7.275.

Vault

Pribyl finished fourth for the Irish with an 8.75; Claire Lee and Gaffaney tied for fifth with their score of 8.6 and Kramer and Abby Torblaa both scored an 8.45.

Bars

O’Donnell was runner-up on the bars with her 8.25; Kramer finished fifth with a 7.6; Jude earned a 7.4; Pribyl scored a 7.2 and Torblaa scored a 6.7.
