If you hear sirens and sounds of a helicopter landing at the public-school next Wednesday morning, May 8, don’t be alarmed, it’s just a simulation.
Maple Lake schools in partnership with Safe Communities of Wright County, Irish Mentors and numerous other local agencies will hold a mock crash for Maple Lake High School students in anticipation of the statistically deadliest time of the year for young drivers – summer vacation.
This impactful event will show students firsthand the consequences of careless driving. The last time the school held a mock car crash was in 2016.
