Fun at the All Star Clown Show

By Brenda Erdahl

Pack up the kids and get your smiles ready for a night of gags, silly jokes, and lots of laughter at the All Star Clown Show, Saturday, Aug. 10 in the Annandale High School Auditorium.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. as 75 costumed clowns from Canada, Japan and all over the U.S.A. do their best to make you laugh with classic circus routines, slap-stick humor, and pie-in-the face fun at the only show of its kind in North America.

Entirely free for kids and adults of all ages, the program opens with pre-show face painting, souvenirs and concessions. Children can interact with the clowns one-on-one, ask for autographs and receive a free clown nose all before the main show at 6:30 p.m. For some, it’s the best part of the evening.

The show itself is a delight to the senses with colorful costumes, props, music and all the old-fashioned, good humored, clowning around you thought you’d only find under the big top.

Check out the All Star Clown Show Saturday, August 10 in Annandale for an evening of gags, tricks and lots of laughs. The clown show is the culmination of the week-long Mooseburger Clown Camp started by Tricia Manuel 28 years ago to train people in the art of clowning.
