Wright County Commissioners said goodbye to two longtime employees last week at their Tuesday, Jan. 21 regular County Board meeting.
Steve Jobe is retiring as county surveyor after 19 years with the county and Assistant County Attorney Mark Erickson is retiring after 29 years with the county.
Assistant County Administrator Marc Mattice spoke highly of Jobe’s dedication, passion and service to his profession and to Wright County before presenting him with a retirement plaque during Tuesday’s meeting.
“I hope you can take time in the moment to relish in all your successes here in Wright County, all your accomplishments, all the technology you brought, how you’ve grown your department all those years,” Mattice said.
Jobe thanked all current and past commissioners for their continued commitment to the Surveyor’s Department and their confidence in the job he did.
