A couple of days filled with ups and downs have given two Lightning wrestlers, already very familiar with the state arena, another opportunity at the big show.
For a third straight season, Cassen Brumm (121) and Nathan Klatt (215) will represent the Annandale-Maple Lake Lightning wrestling program at the Class AA Individual State Wrestling Tournament, from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1.
At 121 pounds, Cassen Brumm won by a 18-2 Tech Fall at 5:36 over HLWW’s Corbin Long for second place and a trip to state.
Nathan Klatt was the 215-pound section champion and will head to the Class AA Individual State Wrestling Tournament Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at the Xcel Energy Center.
