Maple Lake’s already unique downtown has been a little more interesting since the opening of the 1918 Barbershop last summer. Men come from near and far to get a haircut from owner Kyle Carby and experience the nostalgia of a practice that 25 years ago had almost gone extinct. As unique as the barber shop itself is the historic building it resides in.
Local entrepreneur and leader in the community, Scott Chantland and his partner Patricia Murray are responsible for restoring the building back to its former glory.
