Lynnea Stay, Annandale

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Fr. John Meyer will Celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Lynnea Mary Wurm was born on May 3, 1946, in Maple Lake, Minnesota, to Raymond and Viola (Jansen) Wurm. She was a 1964 graduate of Maple Lake High School. She was married to Eugene Erpelding and they were blessed with four children; they later divorced. Lynnea lived her entire life in the Maple Lake and Annandale area. She devoted a majority of her professional life to the field of research and development at Malco Tools, where she was employed for over 25 years. On January 16, 2004, she married Stanley Alan Stay in Las Vegas. They continued to make their home in Annandale.

Lynnea’s heart truly belonged to her family as she cherished their gatherings. She also delighted in bowling, playing cards and bingo, and engaging in invigorating games of Trivial Pursuit.

She is survived by her loving sons, Gene Erpelding of Watkins, Steve Erpelding of Watkins, and Brad (Jen) Erpelding of Richmond; 5 grandchildren, Blake, Samantha, Johnathan, Brady, and Jordan; siblings, Carol (Herman) Fasching and Ronald Wurm; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Lynnea was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Viola; husband, Stanley; son, David; grandson, Nicholas; and siblings, Sharon Winter, Rosemary Mattson, and David Wurm.

Lynnea’s grandchildren will serve as urn bearers. St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide music for the service. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
