Wright County Commissioners took time at their regular meeting, Tuesday, March 4 to recognize employees that go above and beyond the call of duty.
Every year individuals and groups are nominated for the Employee of the Year and Group of the Year awards and after careful consideration by an Employee Recognition Committee, the winners are chosen and presented to the board.
This year’s Individual Achievement Award went to Ag and Drainage Supervisor Matt Detjen and the Group Achievement Award went to the Court Services Agents and Support Team.
On Tuesday, board members and a large audience heard why these employees are considered tops among their peers.
Detjen may be known as the “ditch guy” to many in Wright County, but his contributions and impact extend far beyond that, his nominator said.
