Bernatello’s will celebrate the release of a new line of pizzas – Patriot Pizza – with an open house on Friday, March 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Maple Lake location at 200 Congress Street, West.
With the sale of every Patriot Pizza, Bernatello’s is supporting families of fallen military and first responders through the organization Tunnel to Towers. Tunnel to Towers was born out of the 9/11 tragedy and since then have been helping America’s heroes by providing over 1,500 mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
Friday’s open house will include pizza tastings, games and contests, a photo booth, kid’s corner and giveaways including a pizza oven and a case of pizzas. In addition, the first 100 families will receive a full-size Patriot Pizza to take home. The event is open to the public, but Bernatello’s will also be inviting local fire fighters, police and sheriff’s departments, veteran’s organizations and Maple Lake Royalty, candidates and their families.
Everyone is invited to sample all the flavors of this new thin crust pizza which include: The Commander (supreme), The All-American (sausage and pepperoni), the Red, White and “Roni” (pepperoni); Yankee Noodle (macaroni and cheese with bacon) and Hail to the Cheese (cheese).
“We’re hoping for a really good turnout to show our appreciation to first responders and military families,” organizers said.
