Get out your appetites and wet wipes, this weekend The Butchery of Maple Lake is hosting its first annual RibFest.
On Saturday, May 3, 22 competitors will fire up their grills, smokers and cooking units to try and win over the tastebuds of 12 local judges for trophies and cash prizes. Everyone else’s job is to eat.
At 2 p.m. tickets go on sale and the more $2 tickets you buy the better because those get you samples from each of the competitors. The grill-masters will be set up around The Butchery parking lot and the parking lot next door owned by Nabours Novelty. They’ll start serving around 3:15 p.m. Best of all, after you eat your fill, you’ll get to vote on who gets the People’s Choice award.
