NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Maple Lake City Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Maple Lake City Hall, 10 Maple Ave S., Maple Lake, MN 55358, to conduct a public hearing. The purpose of the hearing is to consider adoption of a revised Enabling Resolution regarding the Maple Lake Economic Development Authority (“EDA”).
An EDA is a separate governmental entity whose purpose is to promote development and redevelopment of the community. An EDA may be established by a city council through adoption of an Enabling Resolution. The Enabling Resolution will provide that members of the city council will serve as commissioners of the EDA, will grant certain powers to the EDA and will limit others without approval of the city council. The City established the EDA in 2015 but it ceased to function several years ago. The new Enabling Resolution will be an updated version and provide a fresh start to what the city expects to be a more active EDA. Any person wishing to express an opinion on the proposed resolution during the public hearing will be heard orally or in writing.
