With the December 31 retirement of long-time Maple Lake Wine and Spirits manager, Carole “Grandma” Bestland, a new manager, Angela ‘Ang’ Berthiaume, took the reins of the city’s municipal liquor store.
Berthiaume spent the month of December working side-by-side with Bestland meeting people and learning the ins and outs of Maple Lake Wine & Spirits. “I’ve met a lot of our customers, they’ve been great. I’m looking forward to meeting more, and the staff has been so friendly and welcoming,” said Berthiaume. “Maple Lake seems so down-home, so open and friendly, This is going to be a great place to work.”
