Auditorium is looking good with new seating

Fifty some years ago, the Maple Lake High School auditorium was the envy of all. Built in 1966 it had everything a community could want including a local acting group called the Village Players who lit up the stage to full houses.

“Back in its day, it was the Cadillac of auditoriums,” said Brad Neutz, head of building and grounds at Maple Lake Schools.

But lately the high school auditorium has left something to be desired. Although still used on a regular basis for concerts, plays, speech meets, athletic award ceremonies and more, it lacked a certain level of comfort, especially when it came to audience seating.
