The final date to file for Maple Lake School board seats is August 11 at 5 p.m. at the Maple Lake School District office.
The Maple Lake School Board has four 4-year term seats on the November 3 election ballot along with one special election seat with a term ending on the first Monday in January 2023. A $2 filing fee is required.
Dave Schroeder is giving up his seat on the school board in a special election. The other 4-year term seats that will be up for re-election are currently held by Shelley McAlpine, Bill Neumann, Joe Paumen and Board Chair Chris Paumen.
Several positions are up for grabs on the Maple Lake City Council as well. Kirk Larson and Heather Kadlec’s seats are up for election this fall, as is Mayor Todd Borell’s.
Prospective candidates for a position on the City Council can file at City Hall until August 11.
