Gymnasts 4th at conference finals

Maple Lake gymnast Addison Kramer earned All-Conference Honorable Mention at the Friday, Feb. 9 West Central Conference gymnastics finale in Melrose.

The Irish travelled to Melrose to take on the conference schools and they ended up fourth out of seven with a team score of 127.525. Melrose claimed the title with a score of 143.075; Benson-KMS was second with 137.975 and Albany was third with 129.975. The Irish outperformed Morris Area, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville, and Paynesville.

Vault

Addison Kramer finished 13th with an 8.5; Abby Torblaa was 14th with an 8.475; Ashley Gaffaney and Claire Lee tied for 15th with an 8.450 and Jacqueline Pribyl was 20th with an 8.3.

Bars

Pribyl finished 12th with a 7.750; Kramer was 14th with a 7.6; O’Donnell tied for 16th with a 7.3; Gaffaney was 20th with a 6.850 and Torblaa was 24th with a 6.2.

Beam

Gaffaney was 15th with a 7.850; Pribyl finished 16th with a 7.75; Kramer was 18th with a 7.650; Aurora Zuehlke was 23rd with a 7.425 and O’Donnell was 24th with a 6.95.

Floor

Kramer finished seventh with an 8.725; O’Donnell was 10th with an 8.425; Lee was 11th with an 8.4; Pribyl was 18th with a 7.925 and Torblaa was 23rd with a 7.7.

All Around

Kramer finished eighth with a 32.475 and Pribyl was ninth with a 31.725.

Up next

The Irish will travel to Morris on Saturday, Feb. 17 for the section tournament. Events start at 12 p.m.
