Kris and Jeff Jackson, owners of Reliable Auto in Buffalo, have expanded their business and opened a second automotive shop on Maple Avenue North. Their first day of operation at the Maple Lake site was Monday, June 25, and they will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. A full-service garage, Reliable Auto in Maple Lake is set up exactly the same as the business in Buffalo, with slightly fewer open hours to begin with, Kris said. Dan Carlson is the main mechanic, but the Jackson’s hope to hire another soon. Monday was the first time since 2014 that the garage was used for anything other than storage. That’s when former BP owners – then known as Roger’s BP Amoco – Irene and Tom Hudek closed the repair shop to focus on the gas station and convenience store end of the business.
