Tricia Manuel can remember exactly where she was, down to the chair she was sitting on when her dad told her, “This is your community, you need to go and be a part of it.”
She had recently moved back to Maple Lake from California where she had been clowning on the weekends and sewing clown costumes during the week.
Minnesota was more central to where her work was, mostly at clown conventions out east, so she set up her business, Pricilla Mooseburger Originals, in the back of her parent’s shop on Birch Avenue, Manuel’s Department Store.
Tricia Manuel, owner of Pricilla Mooseburger Originals and the Costume Shoppe was recently awarded the Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award. Above, she accepts the award from Chamber Vice President Nick Pawlenty.
